The list below highlights some of the exciting features coming in the future releases. Any input on these items or additional suggestions are greatly appreciated:
- bitrate and additional statistics reporting
- 10-bit yuv and bitstream playback. 10-bit bitstream playback is already supported, but the rest of the processing is currently perform with 8-bit precision. Importantly, both BlackMagic IO cards as well as the video codecs already support 10-bit depth, so there is no show stopper for this feature
- frame accurate step backwards with bitstreams
- frame accurate scene selection and dual video playback synchronization. Both already supported for yuv playback
- scripting (command line) interface
- PSNR calculations (with auto alignment)
- audio playback
- video capture and real time encoding at high bitrates for video quality preservation but with substantial HDD space savings
- end-to-end encode-decode latency
- audio-video synchronization (lipsync) real-time measurement
- IP/ASI inputs
